A+ Core Hardware
This course is an introduction to personal computer (PC) hardware and the MS-DOS operating system, structure, operation and file management. Major PC components, and their installation, configuration and upgrade procedures are demonstrated and practiced in labs. Students will install system circuit boards, processors and memory, disassemble and reassemble a working PC, and attach peripheral hardware devices. PC functionality including fault isolation and troubleshooting is studied. Management of the MS-DOS operating system is discussed and applied in lab work. This course provides and introduction to the planning, installation, configuration and optimization of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Operating system theory, preventative maintenance, and the troubleshooting of common computer problems will be demonstrated and practiced.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental elements of installation, configuration and optimization of the Microsoft Windows operating systems. Students will learn about the following: deployment and planning considerations, installation methods, the Graphic User Interface (GUI), the proper applications for user profiles and policies, general networking configurations, and troubleshooting techniques.

Network +
This course is an introduction to networking technology and terminology. Students will learn, plan and optimize Local Area Networks (LAN). Wide Area Networks (WAN) are discussed and the difference between LANs and WANs are reviewed. Students will learn and practice connecting network components, discuss LAN/Internet administration, and perform user support and network troubleshooting tasks.

Windows XP Professional
Students will perform the installation and configuration of the Windows XP operating system; setup users, system profiles, policies relating to the Windows XP operating system; perform fault isolation and correction of the Windows XP operating system.

Introduction to Routers
This introduction to routers course teaches the basic skills necessary to configure Cisco switches and routers in multi-protocol inter-networks. Students will learn and apply the fundamentals of interconnecting Cisco network devices.

Interconnecting Network Routers
This course provides the student with practical knowledge and hands-on experience to identify the Cisco product that best meets the WAN connection requirements; assemble and configure Cisco equipment to establish appropriate WAN network connections; enable protocols and technologies that allow traffic flow between each site; implement quality-of-service (QoS) capabilities; and implement access-control measures.
