If your training here at CCI provides you with the knowledge to obtain a stable position in a growing industry and provides you with the lifestyle and security you desire, your investment has been successful. If your career education allows you to make more money than you are currently making, you have made a profit on your training investment.

Most students require financial assistance whether they attend a four-year college, a junior college or a career training school. In fact, most career training school candidates are unemployed and seeking a position while attending school.

There are numbers of financial aid programs available for funding your career training. Some of these are federal, state or military grant programs, while others might involve funds obtained from an employer or a future employer.

Even individuals with no money, no job, and no credit can obtain the funds to attend CCI Training Center by working through the Financial Aid office.

Scholarships :-

CCI provides several scholarships throughout the year. Scholarships range in amount from $250 to $1500 or higher and apply to tuition at the end of the program. To qualify for scholarships, students must demonstrate the ability to benefit from the training and be able to finance the remainder of their educational expense. To apply, first make an appointment to visit with a CCI Training Coordinator. With your help, the Coordinator will determine if you meet the
program entrance requirements. You will then be asked to apply for a CCI Scholarship. Below are examples of scholarships currently available:

Scholastic Scholarships - These are available for individuals who maintained good grades in either high school or college. A minimum high school diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.2 is required for consideration. Transcripts are required. You are also asked to submit a two-page essay explaining why you should be selected and how this scholarship will help you with your career objective. Scholastic Scholarship information request form

Industry Scholarships - These are available in limited quantities for individuals from select industries. Current targeted industries include Telecommunications and Aviation/Airline Industry. You may qualify if you were last employed in one of the above industries and are currently laid off. Industry Scholarship information request form

Industry Certification Scholarships - This is a scholarship for individuals possessing various industry certifications. An example is the MCSE scholarship, available for individuals who posses a current Windows 2000 or Windows NT4 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification. Other certification scholarships are available depending upon certification status.

HCA Supplementary scholarships - These are available for all Medical Coding program candidates who will receive a HCA Cares Scholarship and are also in need of additional assistance. CCI applauds the commitment shown from the HCA organization to the medical field and is pleased to play a small supporting role.

Directors Scholarships – These are discretionary in nature and reserved for individuals that demonstrate financial need for tuition assistance and are involved in their local community.

Examples may include volunteer work with local non-profit organizations. You are also asked to submit a two-page essay explaining why you should be selected and how this scholarship will help you with your career objective. CCI welcomes partnership opportunities with the local community including non-profit organizations.

Student Loan Programs

Sallie Mae Loan
This is an unsecured long-term loan (up to 15 years) that can be used to finance tuition, books, fees, certification test, etc., bearing an interest rate of 5.54% to 18% based on the applicant’s credit history and income level. Co-borrower may be required, leading to lower interest rate. Principal payments are deferred while in school. This loan will also bear a loan-processing fee.

Key Bank Career Loan
This is an unsecured long-term loan (up to 15 years) that can be used to finance tuition, books, fees, etc., bearing an interest rate of 5.54% to 12% based on the applicant’s credit history. Borrower can also request an additional $3,000 for living/childcare expenses. Principal payments are deferred for one year. This loan will also bear a loan-processing fee.

P.L.A.T.O.® Career Education Loan
This is an unsecured long-term loan (up to 20 years) that can be used to finance tuition, books, fees, certification tests, and computer purchase. Loans are offered to qualified students and professionals seeking practical career training. This loan will also bear a loan-processing fee.

TFC
This is a short-term loan for up to 48 months for tuition only, requiring 15% down payment. This is an option for candidates with acceptable but less than superior credit history. Student is responsible for the registration fee and the purchase of books, supplies, and other related expenses. Payments start 30 days after initiation of training. This loan will also bear a loan-processing fee.

Conditional Assured Loan
This unique option is available to students who are unable to provide acceptable credit history but is able to pay a minimum 25% of the full tuition as down payment plus other related fees and expenses. This loan option has the following additional requirements:

Borrower must be a US Citizen

Borrower must have a second person on the loan with them

Borrower must provide proof of the ability to pay the loan

CCI works with many lenders including Sallie Mae, Key Loan and several local credit unions and banks. If you have the dedication, we will find a way to get you the education.

CCI goes so far as to assure that no one will be turned down for a student loan due to previous credit history including bankruptcies. Other conditions apply. Ask your training coordinator for details. Take the time out to visit our school and find out how you can qualify for an educational loan. Remember, at CCI you cannot be turned down due to past credit history when you apply for an assured student loan.

CCI is approved to accept the following grant options and if qualified will provide referral information to a local government office.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA) -
The WIA program is administered through the Texas Workforce Commission. Grants are available through TWC to qualified unemployed, underemployed or displaced individuals. Texas Rehabilitation Commission (TRC) -
Grants are available to disabled and other qualified rehabilitating individuals.

National Emergency Grant (NEG) -
The National Emergency Grant aids dislocated workers in airline and tourism-related industries in Texas as a result of 9/11. The grant is administered through Texas Workforce Centers. The funds will aid laid off workers from Continental and American Airlines as well as Boeing, Vought, LSG Sky Chefs and Gate Gourmet along with others. Contact TWC to see if you qualify.

Trade Adjustment ACT (TAA) -
The TAA Program provides aid to workers who loose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages have been reduced as a result of increased foreign imports. APPLICATION FOR VETERANS EDUCATIONAL ENTITLEMENT – Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill)
This benefit is for those veterans who served on an active duty after June 30, 1985 (Category I), those who had remaining entitlement under the Vietnam Era GI Bill (Category II), and those who switched from VEAP before being involuntarily separated after February 2, 1991 (Category III).

Active duty persons who contributed to the Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30) should have the member 4 copy of the DD Form 214 for submission along with the Application for Educational Entitlement (VA Form 22-1990). APPLICATION FOR Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits - Chapter 31 EDUCATIONAL ENTITLEMENT

Applicants for the Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits (Chapter 31) must have a VA Disability Rating of 20 percent or higher and should complete the Disabled Veterans Application for Vocational Rehabilitation, obtained from your VA representative. VEAP/Veterans Educational Assistance Program - Chapter 32

This benefit is for those veterans who served between the Vietnam GI Bill Era and the Montgomery GI Bill era. Generally, between January 1977 and June 1985. Contact

Survivor's and Dependent's Educational Assistance - Chapter 35

This benefit is for surviving spouses and children of veterans who died of a service-connected death, surviving spouses and children of veterans who died as a result of a service-connected disability, or for surviving spouses and children of a veteran with a permanent service-connected disability.

Change to Survivor's and Dependent's Educational Assistance – Chapter 35

Reserve Guard Montgomery GI Bill - Chapter 1606

Financial Aid Department Services

CCI Training Center Financial Aid Department offers numerous student services. Several are listed here:

Loan / Grant documentation. The FA department will assist the student in completing forms, obtain credit reports and obtaining financial information.

Co-Signers. Various loans may require a guarantor or co-signer. The FA department will assist the student by contacting the cosigner on behalf of the student to explain the educational / job assistance program, and arrange signatures on required documents. The department will ship any documents.

Corporate Financing Programs. The FA department has several programs for financing company or departmental personnel. Programs may be fully or partially corporate funded. Group discounts are available.

Sponsorships. The FA department will work with the sponsoring organization or person to provide any information or complete forms.

Banks / Third party lenders. The FA department will work with banks and lenders to provide all necessary information on behalf of the school and the student.
